We Had Ourselves a Merry Little Christmas Time

This year’s Christmas has been very special to me. Sometimes it is hard to get into the spirit of the Holiday, especially if there has been difficult moments during the year. But trying a little harder and pushing oneself to see the beauty of life… Well, life just starts looking a lot better. I know this to be true. We started our Christmas Eve with a little dinner with my family. Then, headed over to Ariel’s family for more dinner and celebration. I even brought a little special gift…

Banana Pudding

We took the subway to Ariel’s family where we danced the night away… which was exactly what I needed after all the food I ate. Although, I did go back every so often to pick on the left over Pernil seating in the oven. I couldn’t help it!  I’m writing it down for 2012 resolution: I must learn how to cook a mean Pernil.

What I will remember the most for this year’s Christmas is all the dancing I did. I love dancing! Have I mention that before? Ariel’s family loves to dance too, mainly his mom who made it very clear to me where Ariel gets all his energy from. That lady can dance! And both Christmas Eve and Christmas day was all dancing and dancing and dancing. I loved it! I don’t have any pictures of the dancing… and well, some things should not be photographed… especially if someone had one too many Malibu with pineapple juice and was shaking it like no one was watching.

Christmas morning we had a lovely brunch in Greenpoint at Lokal. A really cute place I really like. We talked about our future and I’m truly excited and optimistic about this upcoming year. We have received so many blessings as well as some bumps in the roads this year… but we’re going to keep on going with our heads high, enjoying our lives together, continuing building memories, doing what we love.

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas time!

Sam & Justina Married!

So excited to finally post Sam and Justina’s wedding. I tried it this time in a slideshow format, which took me sooo long, but I really wanted to tell their story this way. I really enjoyed putting it together and while is not perfect and I need to learn a little more about how it all works… (definitely less vertical images and more horizontals) I think this is something I’m going to start doing more of in the new year.

Photographing this wedding was an absolute delight. I love daytime weddings and working along really awesome people like Angie and GT.

Justina and Sam… I’m so thankful to you both! May you both have the merriest of Christmas!

And Merry Christmas to all!

Sam & Justina Engaged

I’m so excited to post this engagement session of these two wonderful souls. I love Justina and Sam. I love how Sam loves Justina… how he looks at her with his charming eyes and makes her giggle. I love how Justina buries her blushing face in his chest when he makes her giggle. It is the sweetest love, one that started in college during orientation day and grew and grew and keeps on growing. I feel I’m somehow part of this love story as I also attended St. Francis College during the same years. We never met, but I’m sure our shoulders brushed on the narrow escalators as they rushed by to class and I let it take me up instead or squeezed in the same elevator. I’m sure our eyes met at some point unknowingly that one very special day I would be the one documenting their special love that grew in our alma mater. We were destined for one another as I too found love on my very last semester at St. Francis’. I fell in love with this…

And it was only fair to visit the one place where it all started, where our lives changed…

After a few shots, we then walked to the courts Justina got sworn in to be the hottest lawyer ever!

See? I rest my case! You two are such a beautiful couple. It makes me smile all the time to see both of your beautiful smiles.

Thank you so much for opening your doors to me and taking me in as Cousin Julia, it is truly an honored. I can’t wait to share your beautiful wedding!

Happy Tuesday!

Anthony & Ohelisha’s Wedding

I had such a blast photographing Anthony and Ohelisha’s engagement session and knew, right away, that their wedding would be just as joyful… full of laughter, love… and dancing! Even their grand entrance was awesome! (Check out Anthony!) I don’t think I saw guests seated at the reception. Everyone danced. I danced! with my camera on the side, of course : )

Anthony & Ohelisha’s Wedding!

Thank you so much Anthony and Ohelisha, you both are amazing and I wish you all the love in the world. Also, as always, thank you Angie for your big help in lending me your creative eye and to GT… always a pleasure!

Happy Thursday!

(I can’t believe its Thursday, what?)
